Need your help...

Soo I want to do something special for mom in the house.
Every day she is home and doing sooo many things that I can hardly believe it and can't really express how much I appreciate everything that she does.

However one idea is to get out of the house and give mom some mom time. To do this I am thinking that some father daughter time would be great. But what to do??? and this is where I need your input. And I really appreciate any input I can get :-)

You can do it quick and just respond to the poll here and/or leave a comment with ideas.

Appreciate your input and responses
Thanks

While you are at it you should keep an eye on the new Whyclicked product coming soon (it's in beta right now) which I have used on this blogspot to show pop-ups asking questions at random to people without adding a bugging functionality that comes up everytime (pretty cool).

Damn, I was really hoping this whole bouncing to another blog was really a plot to sell me Amway products. I need more Amway products...

Hope you are not too disappointed ;-)

I think all of the options are great and that Emma would enjoy any of them. Jacki is very lucky to have a husband that thinks about her needs and wants to give her some "me-time". Great job :)

Well you know sometimes I can get home from work and think... man doesn't she know I have been at work all day and kind of worn by now...

But then when the brain actually kicks in too I know that yes she has been home all day but still that is work too. It may be different but I would say it can be just as draining as anything else (yep even if you are a coal miner)...

I know I want to do what I can for us to be a family and make sure that everyone is happy. But it can be difficult to get everything right so all I can do is try.

And from what I see in comments and all. Just having a little mom time goes a long way. So that was my starting point :-)

We are never done learning and well you may think you know someone but as I find with Jacki there are always new things to explore and I love everything about her.

I'm with Mo- all of those sound great. And Jacki will thoroughly enjoy some time for herself!

A zoo is a great option too, or an aquarium, if you're near one.

If it turns out rainy, Chuck E Cheese or one of those indoor jump places full of inflatable slides would make her day.

The flip side of your idea is sending Jacki away for the day. Sometimes you need time at home, but I usually end up spending that on a project or work that needs done, which can be a good thing, but sometimes being the one who leaves is better. Especially if you need to really relax and take a break. You know, just send her and a girlfriend to a botanical garden or historical home, lunch, and a chick flick.

I always have my husband take the kids to a restaurant with a nice play area. He can sit and eat and read, and the kids can let loose, and I can finally get some stuff done.

My husband and daughter like to go to the golf course. They hit a bucket of balls on the driving range, do some putting on the putting green and finish it off with a nice meal at the golf course restaurant. They have a blast together.

My girls love going to a movie with daddy. If it's nice out, though, an outdoor activity would be fun, too. A restaurant afterward would also give you a chance to have a mini-date that she would remember for years to come.

my fondest memories of my father is when he amazed us with some magic tricks - cards or something; when he taught us a new song, or dance.

whatever you're going to do, i hope you and emma have fun!... and jacki as well. take care!
